Availablility
Please contact the Music & Motion Dance office to determine the availability of the company for your engagement. Because most of our dancers are in high school or college, engagements during the school year are primarily on weekends or select evenings during the week. During the Summer months, Music & Motion is available during the week and on weekends.
Site Requirements
Music & Motion Dance productions are completely self-contained. We can provide our own sound and lighting with technicians. We also have a portable dance floor for touring.
Indoor performances or staged outdoor performances:
- Level performance area or stage at least 30 feet long and 25 feet deep.
- Electric with in 100 feet of stage area. For sound only: one 20A 110V dedicated circuit; If lighting is to be used will require three additional 20A 110V dedicated circuits for a total of four.
- Secure dressing area with in 30 feet of stage area. This is for multiple quick costume changes during the run of performance. Public restrooms are NOT acceptable.
- Unacceptable
dance surfaces: gravel or broken surfaces, marble, surfaces that are
not level.
Stolling outdoor performances (ie// gardens):
- Outdoor dance surfaces can be short grass (not wet or muddy) or pavement. However, dance surfaces must be reasonably level and free of debris. If we are on grass, we request that you cut and rake the grass 24 hours in advance of our performance.
- Secure dressing area with in reasonalble proximity or central to the perfomance areas. Public restrooms are NOT acceptable.
- We operate sound from a battery powered 'boom box". If electric is available, please advise but not required.
Fees
The fees for our services range depending on your organization, the program and location. For price quotes, you may contact us directly or via our booking agency, Rainbow Promotions, using the online contact form.
For non-profit and charitable organizations:
Through our generous corporate sponsors, the fees to registered non-profit organizations may be waived in part or full for our performances. Please contact our office for details 610-394-9182.
For museums and public gardens:
Funding for free performances by Music & Motion Dance at your location in 2008 is available through
corporate grants made available to us under "The Garden Project. Please contact our office for details 610-394-9182.
For theaters and performance venues:
Music & Motion Dance performances are available to your location under a ticket revenue sharing plan in which neither party exchanges fees but rather shares equally on revenue generated directly from performances. Please contact our office for details 610-394-9182.
